Quite a while ago now, I went to Red Dog Sandwiches for the first time. I am a huge lover of reuben sandwiches, they are seriously good. I had my first ever salt beef sandwich in Canada when I was about 14, then had a reuben in Mishkins about a year or two ago. So when my brother suggested a Friday night trip to Red Dog, I was super excited. We arrived, went up and had a good ponder at the menu, but I knew what I was having. I, of course, went for the Combo Reuben and an iced tea.
The unveiling of my sandwich. The sauce in the sandwich was ridiculously good and there was tons of it. This sandwich was the bomb (only a wee bit greasy).
Below is my mums choice, the Po'Boy (full to the brim as you can see).
If I can remember correctly, my brother went for the Philly Cheesesteak (below). Which tasted damn good as well, I had to have a small bite!
These were some seriously good sandwiches, and now I have come to a realisation of my obsession with Reubens, I am going to start rating them! I am going on a quest to find my favourite Reuben in London.
And for Red Dog... (drumroll please) 8.5/10. I couldn't quite decide whether it was an 8 or a 9 so I went in-between. As I said earlier, it was ever so slightly greasy but didn't bother me too much, and as much as I love that sauce it was all over my hands by the end of the sandwich. Maybe actually a little less sauce, only a tiny bit less. But other than the fact it was just a bit messy, this is one good sandwich and great value for money at only £9.75
