Ping Pong.

On Saturday, I went with my parents to London. As the trains weren't running properly we got a cab up to Charing Cross and walked round to the National Portrait Gallery. Where we had booked tickets to go into the David Bailey exhibition. We did pop into Cafe Rouge quickly before hand, where my dad tried out his camera, taking some pictures of me and I even got one of him!

After all the picture snapping, we headed to the exhibition. It was amazing. I love David Bailey, I think he is absolutely brilliant and his pictures are spectacularly beautiful. If you have to time, actually even if you don't have the time, make some! Go see his photographs, it is a huge exhibition and worth all the time you spend in there.

After the exhibition, we headed for lunch. I really wanted to go the the Riding House Cafe but it was fully booked and a 45 minute wait, so we went to Ping Pong instead! Which I think was a great idea and I'm almost glad we din't get into Riding House or we would never have tried this.
When you get to your table, there is a long piece of paper that you tick off the thing you want to order. I think its a great idea and you can spend your time reading through everything. We picked just a few things from the list!

This was hibiscus and blackcurrant infused tea.

Now onto the food!

Char Sui bun

Chicken and cashew nut dumpling

Crab and prawn dumpling

Chicken Shu Mai

Har Gau (prawn dumpling)

Edamame beans

King prawn and scallop sticky rice in lotus leaf

Pork and mushroom sticky rice dumpling

Potato and edamame cake

Prawn toast with sesame seeds

The meal was amazing, everything tasted so good. My favourites were the Har Gau and the Prawn toasts! And below is a picture of me and my mum. The drink in my hand is goji berry, mango and mint (seriously good and refreshing).

If you like Chinese and dim sum go visit this place, you will love it!
